Loan repayments calculator
Work out your repayments, how much interest you'll pay over the life of the loan, and how much time and money extra repayments could save.
About these figures
- Repayments assume the interest rate stays the same for the whole term. In practice variable rates move, and fixed rates end.
- Weekly and fortnightly repayments are based on 52 and 26 payments a year. Paying half your monthly amount every fortnight would pay the loan off faster than shown here.
- Interest is calculated each repayment period. Most lenders calculate daily and charge monthly, so real figures will differ slightly.
- Fees aren't included. To see how fees change the picture, use compare two loans.
Important: This calculator gives estimates only, for general information. It isn't credit advice and doesn't take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, or any particular lender's credit policy. Results rely on the figures you enter and the assumptions described on this page, and actual rates, fees, government charges and lending decisions will differ. Talk to Claire before making a decision.
